Captain Mullins Retirement
06/16/13 - Urbana Firefighters Local 1147 July 11th, 2013 will be Captain Mullins final shift day and the Department will be conducting his walk-out ceremony. Captain Mullins will be retiring after 28 years of service with the Urbana Fire Department. He started as a fireman, then was promoted to Lieutenant and Captain. Captain Mullins also spent many years on the Unions executive board. |

DEARBORN: Council approves fire department merger; Melvindale to vote next week
06/13/13 - Paul Hufnagel The city of Dearborn will control the equipment and will rent the Melvindale station for $1 a year. Melvindale will pay an annual fee of $1.25 million for the first four years, plus a yearly multiplier of 2.37 percent to factor in the consumer price index starting in year two. After four years, the multiplier will be evaluated based on actual expenses. |
