Ricky Walsh 

Ricky Walsh became a career, professional fire fighter with the City of Hermiston, Oregon in 1983. In 1986 was hired as a City of Richland fire fighter and rose through the ranks including the positions of Paramedic and Lieutenant . He holds the rank of Captain with the Richland Fire Department.

Ricky was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Hermiston Firefighters Local 2752 in 1983 and held that position until moving to Richland Fire Department. Elected as the Vice President in 1988, he became President of the Richland Firefighters Local 1052 in 1990. Since then, he has been the negotiations chairperson for Local 1052.

As an active participant in WSCFF issues, Ricky was elected to the Executive Board in 1993. With the retirement of the past Vice President, he was elected in 1996 to fill that role. He has chaired the WSCFF Legislative Committee, actively lobbied the legislature and fulfilled numerous projects such as the History Book and Initiative 790. Further, he has negotiated numerous contracts and organized several locals in Washington State.

Ricky is also active with International Association of Fire Fighters and has been an IAFF State Representative since 1993. In 2001, he became a District Field Representative, until he was elected as the IAFF 7^th District Vice President in August 2004.
