SUMMARY:WSCFF Convention 3rd Annual Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Join NW Fire Velo for this ride that starts from Veterans Memorial Golf Course and heads out on quiet\, one way city streets. The route winds through town and on to scenic back roads traveling along the South Fork Walla Walla River Road.  The route turns around where the pavement turns to trail and returns to the start where you will help send off the Convention Golf Tournament players.  Here’s a GPS link for the route. The ride is 56 miles and will be led by NW Fire Velo member\, Jamie Monroe.  Jamie rode from LA to New York last summer for the 20th Anniversary of 911 Ride for America event.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe ride is FREE and open to all abilities.  Please complete registration and insurance waiver prior to the event.  Must provide own bicycle\, helmet\, and water\, and follow all Washington state bicycling laws and rules.  \n\n\n\nContact Northwest Fire Velo for more information.

SUMMARY:WSCFF Convention Spouses Class:  Breaking Barriers to Communication
DESCRIPTION:Stronger Families will present a 90-minute presentation on Breaking Barriers to Communication.  Stronger Families offers life-changing relationship skills to military\, veteran\, and first responder families so they can be strong and thrive.  This Breaking Barriers to Communication program is offered during the WSCFF Convention to spouses and partners attending convention with delegates and alternates.  There is no fee to participate.   \n\n\n\nThe class will be presented at the Local 404 Union Hall.  It is about a 15-minute walk from the Marcus Whitman Hotel.  Local 404 will also provide transportation starting at 9:00 a.m. from the main lobby of the Marcus Whitman.

SUMMARY:WSCFF Convention Family Barbeque
DESCRIPTION:Local 404\, Walla Walla invites convention delegates and alternates and families to Yellowhawk Resort for an outdoor family barbeque.  In addition to dinner\, activities include swimming and cornhole.  Local 404 will have a historic fire truck on hand serving beer brewed by one of their retirees\, and the resort will offer Yellowhawk Bubbles\, their own sparkling wine.  Transportation will be provided by shuttle buses from the Marcus Whitman.  The first bus will leave the hotel at 5:00 and run until everyone has been transported to the venue.  Buses will return guests from Yellowhawk to the hotel beginning at 7:00.
