Speaker Bios

Bruce Anderholt

Bruce joined the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems in 2022 and worked in financial services for the previous two decades.  Bruce has a BA in International Relations from Claremont McKenna College and lives in Salmon Creek, WA with his wife and daughter.

His father is a retired Undersheriff from Imperial County, California and he grew up around law enforcement officers and schoolteachers, including his wife, mother, and mother-in-law.

The DRS Education & Outreach (E&O) team increases awareness of retirement benefits and promotes retirement education for DRS Members.  We present complex retirement information in an easy-to-understand manner, answers questions, and help members better understand their retirement benefits and options.  We offer educational presentations on retirement benefits and the Deferred Compensation Program (DCP).
