Political action is the lifeblood of all unions

Elected officials set policy and negotiate contracts that impact all areas of the work of fire fighters and EMTs. Member involvement in the process is critical. One of the ways members can participate is by attending the annual WSCFF Legislative Conference. Every year, fire fighters convene to learn about the legislative agenda  and to meet with their senators and representatives on issues critical to fire fighters.

The Legislative Conference will be held February 4-5, 2020 at the Hotel RL in Olympia.

February 4, 2020 Registration Begins at 7:00 a.m.  The conference begins at 9:00 a.m.   Click here for the agenda.

Briefing materials will be provided when you register and are available here:  Legislative Issues; Talking Points

Your District Representative will schedule meetings with your elected officials.  Shuttle buses will be provided between the Hotel RL and the Capitol between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m on Tuesday and one bus will run from 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5.

A buffet-style dinner will be provided for fire fighters at 5:30 at the hotel.
