The Communications Training Academy will be held in Maryland on May 5 - 9, 2025. The event provides members an opportunity to learn how to become effective communicators and advocates for their profession. You will receive training on the latest tools and techniques for social media, public relations, and political action to advance the cause of fire fighters. More details will be provided when they become available. The A. Michael Mullane Political Academy was created to educate and train IAFF members to enhance their local’s political operation. Campaigns and elections are about choices, and the PTA is about learning how to make the best choices possible to win political campaigns. Fire Ops 101 provides local IAFF affiliates an opportunity to invite elected officials and members of the media to experience the time critical, highly technical, labor intensive work of fire fighters and paramedics.
