Gig Harbor Firefighters, IAFF 3390 serve the residents and guests of the City of Gig Harbor and the Unincorporated Pierce County areas surrounding the city. Our service area covers approximately 54 square miles, has 110 miles of shoreline, and approximately 50,000 residents. We operate out of 4 full-time staffed stations and 1 part-time station. We have a minimum staffing of 15 members deployed on four type 1 fire engines, one cross-staffed rescue, one cross-staffed aid car and three medic units. If staffing allows we open a fifth staffed station which brings our staffing to a minimum of 17 full-time members on-duty and adds a fifth staffed fire engine. In 2015 we responded to just over 5,000 calls for service in several categories including; Fire, EMS, Motor vehicle Accidents, Technical Rescue Response, Hazardous Materials Response, and other service calls. Our Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics are dedicated to providing the highest level of service to the citizens of our fire district and the guests that find themselves visiting or traveling through our jurisdiction. We take our job(s) very seriously and are ready, willing and able to provide assistance to those in need.
