The WSCFF and IAFF Local 452 Vancouver are deeply saddened by the off-duty passing of Firefighter Paramedic Jeremiah Frenz on January 13, 2026.
Firefighter Frenz joined the Vancouver Fire Department on March 16, 2020, after previously serving as a firefighter and paramedic in Oregon. He was assigned to Fire Station 5, B Shift, serving the community on Truck 5.
Jeremiah was a dedicated union brother and public servant whose professionalism and camaraderie left a lasting impact on his fellow firefighters. His loss is deeply felt by Local 452, the Vancouver Fire Department, and the entire fire service community.
