The Professional Firefighters of Spokane County Fire District 9 received its IAFF charter in September of 1983.

Local 404 is the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) union that represents the firefighters employed by the City of Walla Walla. Not only does Local 404 provide the personnel to staff the Walla Walla Fire Department, Local 404 also participates in many community events and fundraisers.

The 8 members represented by Local 4333 are 1 Captain, 3 Lieutenants, and 4 Fire Fighters, This group manages all the functions of the district to include Operations, EMS, Training, Safety, Public education and Prevention, Recruitment,and Facilities maintenance. All this while also running over 50% of the 1400 plus calls for service per year....
