Burien firefighters are public servants who are dedicated to their community and focused on preventing and minimizing loss of life, pain and suffering, and property loss or damage.

Local 4189 serves the Vashon-Maury Island Community.

The Shoreline Professional Firefighters are a team of over 100 career firefighters who serve the citizens of Shoreline and Woodway in fire suppression, EMS, rescue, fire investigations, fire prevention, and public education. In addition, Shoreline Firefighter Paramedics also serve Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Bothell, and a portion of Woodinville as Medic One Paramedics.

IAFF Local 2595 is the exclusive bargaining unit which represents paramedics employed at King County Medic One (KCM1). KCM1 is overseen by King County EMS, which is a division of Seattle-King County Public Health.

South County Union Firefighters, Local 1828 began its charter membership in 1969.  Local 1828 represents 200+ career Firefighters, Firefighter/Paramedics, Captains, and Battalion Chiefs that work out of 12 fire stations located throughout Southwest Snohomish County.
