Brandon Minneman, June 24, 2025

It is with tremendous sadness that the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters and IAFF Local 1747 Puget Sound Fire announce the Line-of-Duty-Death of Captain Brandon Minneman, who passed away on June 24, 2025.

Brandon served with honor and distinction. He joined the Kent Fire Department in 2008, was a valued member of the Hazardous Materials Response Team for four years and was promoted to captain in 2020.

His commitment to service began with the U.S. Army, where he served with the 62nd Medical Brigade from 1999-2003. He also volunteered with McLane Fire and Littlerock Fire and Rescue before joining the fire service professionally.

Known for his positive spirit, strong faith, and deep love for his family and community, Brandon is survived by his wife and their three children.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Details for a Celebration of Life will be shared soon by Local 1747.
