WSCFF Secretary-Treasurer Greg Markley is pleased to announce a refreshed brand identity for the Northwest Fire Fighters Benefits Trust. The new name and logo are indicative of the evolution of the Trust since its inception in 2013. Markley says, “while this is a significant change, and we remain ever proud of our Pacific Northwest roots, this is the right time to take a step forward and unite fire fighters across the country toward a common goal: better healthcare for ourselves and our families. We are all facing similar challenges in that regard, and one thing is for certain – we are stronger together.”
With this change, the Trust will begin partnering with the IAFF to help bring this well-established program to local members across the country. “Although the governance board will be expanded,” says Markley, “the WSCFF will remain in control to ensure that we offer the very best benefits for all of us.”
The Trust’s commitment to always act in the best interest of the Trust and its members will remain the most important priority. This Trust was created on that foundation and changing the name will not change the mission. “We will continue to strive for innovation and excellence with every decision we make,” Markley said, “and the experience of our members will always be top of mind and close to heart.”
He went on to say, “While our home will always be here in the IAFF 7th District, we are excited to expand our footprint outward to reach locals in every district of the IAFF.”
