Kevin Hart to serve as 2024 Session Lobbyist

Kevin Hart, L452 Vancouver, has been selected to serve as the 2024 WSCFF Legislative Session Lobbyist. “Kevin has a deep understanding of the political process and has been a tireless advocate for fire fighters and EMS professionals,” said President Dennis Lawson. “We appreciate his willingness to serve and look forward to working together to advance our legislative agenda.”

Hart, a second-generation fire fighter, was hired by Clark County Fire District #3 in 1998 and joined the Vancouver Fire Department in 2004. He has served L452 as Shop Steward, Secretary, and Political Action Director. “I am passionate about politics, labor, and protecting our injured members in the line of duty,” he said, “and as a graduate of the IAFF Political Training Academy, I’m excited about helping more broadly with the work of the State Council at the legislative level.”

The WSCFF created the Session Lobbyist position in 2017 to expand our lobbying capabilities and develop the skill set of current and future WSCFF leaders. The 2024 60-day session opens January 8, 2024.
