It is with heavy hearts and sorrow that the WSCFF and Local 1257 Port of Seattle Fire Fighters report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter Alvin Vaughn. Brother Vaughn, 61, passed away on December 25, 2023, after succumbing to occupational cancer.
Alvin Vaughn embodied strength, kindness, and dedication throughout his life. His profound impact on the community, both through his selfless service and inspiring leadership, will forever be remembered and cherished.
The Port of Seattle Fire Fighters Local 1257 mourns the loss of a beloved member, highlighting Alvin’s 30 years of devoted service and his ability to brighten every room with his presence.
His legacy extends far beyond his service as a firefighter, encompassing his impactful tenure as a pastor and his esteemed role as a former Washington men’s basketball team standout in the early 1980s.
