James “JT” Boothman, October 10, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the WSCFF and Local I-66 Boeing Fire Fighters report the Line-of-Duty death of James Tony “JT” Boothman, 57. JT passed away on October 10, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, after a 10-month battle fighting leukemia.

In 2011, JT began his service as a firefighter/paramedic and became a member of Local I-66, Boeing Fire Fighters Union. It was there that he served the Boeing St. Louis Fire Department with his brothers and sisters as a Hazardous Materials Technician and Confined Space Rescue team member, protecting employees and the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. JT found many other passions in this position as a union leader and showcased his talents as a lead contributor in advancing various projects still recognized by the company today.

In recent months, JT loved going on rides in his brand-new Jeep with his wife.

Please keep the Boothman family in your thoughts and prayers.
