Healing Beyond the Burn

Why Your Support Matters

The Washington State Council of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation exists to support people through the long aftermath of burn injury. From prevention education and community safety programs, to direct support for fire fighters and families, to long-term healing programs like Camp Eyabsut, this work reaches people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

While the Foundation is primarily supported through WSCFF member per capita payments, private donations and sponsorships help strengthen existing programs and expand what’s possible. Your gift helps ensure that survivors, fire fighters, and families continue to receive care, connection, and resources throughout recovery.

Your gift helps sustain:

  • Burn injury prevention and education in local communities
  • Direct support for fire fighters and families following burn injury
  • Emergency housing near the Harborview Burn Unit
  • Long-term healing programs for burn survivors, including Camp Eyabsut

The Burn Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our work is guided by a Board of Directors composed of fire fighters who give their time, experience, and leadership in service to their communities.

Camp Eyabsut is one example of how the Burn Foundation supports long-term healing for burn survivors and families. This short video offers a glimpse into the joy, connection, and sense of belonging that unfold during a week at camp.
