Fill the Boot: Educate, Motivate, and Engage Your Members

3:30 - 5:00 pm
2026-Ed-Seminar-Wednesday, April 22
Location: Fuji Room
Speakers: Jenny McGahan, Sabrina Allen

The Fill the Boot program has a history rich in tradition – more than 70 years. The partnership with the IAFF officially started in 1954 and ever since, we have been working together to transform the lives of people affected by neuromuscular diseases through this honored tradition. Learn the history of Fill the Boot and the ‘Why’ behind the program. How do you get started or re-start a Fill the Boot? How do you level-up your program? We will discuss how to motivate in a post-covid world, communicate with your Local, utilize department resources, and create buy-in. We’ll talk about involving leadership, capitalizing on social media, and applying the tools developed by the Fire Fighter Partnership team. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the legacy that is Fill the Boot!
