Presented by the 7th District Leadership Team – IAFF 7th District Vice President Ricky Walsh and District Field Service Representatives Curtis Smith and Tim Hoover – this session will cover the importance of understanding these concepts and how to evaluate them. We will discuss what an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) is, how to file a ULP, and the steps that take place prior to a hearing. The session will also explain what the Duty of Fair Representation means, how to avoid common pitfalls, and what you need to know to protect a member facing discipline.
